Terms & Conditions and disclaimer
The In memory microsite has been developed for use by anyone who has been affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a baby.
On this site people (usually bereaved parents) can create a memorial page for their baby who died. This can contain your words which could be a sentence or two or a letter or poem. You can also choose to add up to five images which may be your photos or artwork such as your baby’s footprint or a drawing by a sibling.
If you have a page set up on the Justgiving website about any of your fundraising efforts in aid of FSID you can choose to advertise this on your memorial page.
You can choose to send your family and friends an email to let them know about your tribute page. If you fill in their email address in the box on the right hand side of the screen an email will be sent automatically to them and it will say:
“A memorial page was set up for the name of your baby will be automatically added here on the In Memory microsite run by the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths. The person who created the memorial thought you would like to see this. Please visit the website address will be automatically given here”
Visitors to your memorial page can choose to light a candle and pay tribute to your baby. They can choose to make a donation in memory.
Users of our In memory microsite agree to:
- Make sure that all memorials are respectful and decent
- Use words and images that are their own property , do not infringe copyright laws. For example, if you are quoting a poem that is written by someone else you should say so and give the author's name and title of publication. You must not quote the whole poem, not be seen to be defamatory or libellous in any way so you should not use real names of people or palces (such as a health professionals or hospital)
- Not use this microsite for any purpose other than to pay tribute to a baby who has died
FSID will:
- approve each memorial and candle tribute for publication
- send you an email to let you know when your memorial has been approved and is published on the site
- send you an email to let you know if others have created a tribute page attached to your memorial
- if we feel that a memorial or tribute is not respectful or decent, infringes Copyright laws, is defamatory or libellous or conflicts with our advice or policies we may not be able to publish this on the microsite.
